The first reform of voting rights for women happened in 1918. It was connected with two conditions: the minimum age was 28 and the husband had to have the local voting right which was adherent with his belongings. Another reform happened on July 2 in 1928 when women got the general voting right.

Germany

On November 2 in 1918 women got the voting right in course of the “Novemberrevolution. It was fixed on November 30 by law. The first female vote was given in January 19 in 1919 in course of the election of the “Deutsche Nationalversammlung”.

The suffragets

The most popular radical female movement against the prohbition of voting for women were the group of the “suffragets”. The activities took place in the USA and Great Britain and was leaded by civil women. The most popular member was Emmeline Pankhurst. The aims were reached in 1919/20 in the USA and 1928 in Great Britain.

Today the item “suffragets” is used for dedicated feminists.
